Happy Birthday/Mother's Day to me!
I love my birthday, this year, like many, I enjoy celebrating my "birthday week." To start off my week my sweet husband placed a box of Hostess ding-dongs in the freezer for me (only me!!). Then on Friday night we went to dinner with some friends and enjoyed some great food and live music (very fun!). Sunday was my birthday, which was shared with Mother's Day this year, the girls were very gracious in their cards and flowers that they gave. Mollie gave me an early card on Thursday (well, it is my birthday week) that read:
Happ
oomost
Happ
Barfdau
you ra sil butfil
interpretation: Happy almost Happy Birthday....you are still beautiful!
I love beginner writers!
So for my big birthday/mother's day surprise Dean and the girls arranged for an activity for us to do on Sunday afternoon. And it was so fun and relaxing. This is where we went and I cannot wait to go back. This weekend we will get to pick up our finished product, so I will let you know how they all turned out. And from my friend Michelle , she got me tickets to go see these guys and we have great seats! And from what I hear they are pretty good!!

The Chicks
Things are moving right along at the house, we started painting the interior two weeks ago and it is quite colorful, you can definitely tell we have three girls...the upstairs has been referred to as a "bag of M&M's" and rightly so, but you will have to wait for the pics. I have been lazy about taking pictures. It's hard to take pictures and hold a paint brush at the same time but I do promise to post some soon. Since I'm not painting tonight I thought I would take just a few moments to do some updating on the girls.
All of them started softball a couple of weeks ago, this year Madi is playing Majors for the first time and Merrill and Mollie are still on the same team for one more year, however, this year I am helping out with coaching their team, so it should be interesting:) Merrill turns 9 in just two more days and she had her "hamilton" (see Merrill's new smile post) removed about a week and a half ago, we were so excited! Her braces remain for now and she added a retainer that can be removed while eating(much easier). Unfortunately only 6 days after she received this removable retainer it was placed in the trash at a restaurant that we had stopped at after visiting a friend at the hospital, so we were back in the orthodontist office once again to have a retainer made just one week and $60 later. We will see how long this one lasts!!!

March House Update
I know, I know, it has been over a month since my last posting about the house...it is just very hard work picking out all those things that go into building a house, you know like doorknobs, and trim, and sinks. Even though I haven't actually been sweating I have been doing a lot of "brain work" or some would call "decision making", which if you know me well, is a very difficult task for me at times. With that said, I really have no good excuse for not posting, it has been going very smoothly, our contractor is great and all our workers have been very pleasant. And believe it or not, they are currently finishing the drywall and are projected to be done with that by Wednesday of this week.
Here are some new pictures, but not necessarily the most current...the exterior is the same, it is completed except for the painting, we will be doing that hopefully this spring as soon as the ground dries out and we decide on a color!!

We interrupt this house building project....to say Happy Birthday
Truthfully, I have not even thought about posting about the house lately, mostly because I just haven't had time, with all the decisions going on around here it has been hard to think about very many other things but the house. So, I am still not posting a picture of the house progress yet, but I am going to let you know something I did think about other than the house today...
My best friends' birthday.
So I just want to wish Michelle a very Happy Birthday!! And I just wanted to let you all know that I am not even holding it against her that we weren't invited for her birthday dinner with her sweet family, and if you were wondering, I am not even stressing about the fact that I bought her something that she got for Christmas but I didn't know she got (but at least I didn't get her jewelry HA!), and I won't even tell you about how nice it is that she is in fact not only my best friend, but somewhat of an OLDER, wiser woman in my life. These are just a few thoughts that I had today when I wasn't thinking about the house, along with how thankful, grateful, and appreciative I am that God gave me my V.B.F.F. and today is her BIRTHDAY!! YEAH!!
